Summit County Democratic Organizing Convention

On Saturday, May 7, at 4 p.m at the Legacy Lodge at PCMR all local Democrats are asked to elect the next County Executive Committee and hear from special guests. Anyone who is interested in the democratic process can attend and all County and State delegates should attend this meeting. Offices up for election are: Chairman, Vice Chairs, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Chair, Fund-Raising Chair, bylaws Chair and two State Central Committee Member positions.

Big Stars, Bright Nights Tickets

The Park City Performing Arts Foundation’s 2011 St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights tickets go on-sale at noon on Monday, May 9, at the Eccles Center box office, 1750 Kearns Blvd. All tickets will also be available over the phone by calling the box office at (435) 655-3114. The Ecological Organic Garden

Learn about organic gardening in Park City during this presentation at the Summit County Library’s Richin’s Building auditorium on May 12 at 7 p.m. Taught by Fred Montague, this event will cover concepts such as garden planning, raised beds, soil and fertility, composting, selecting and planting seeds, growing seedlings, watering, pests and weeds and general care of the garden. The cost for admittance is a donation of $10. Space is limited so register today by emaling or (435) 655-5055.
