Complimentary ballet-tone

Join Lululemon athletica’s Park City showroom at Kimball Junction for its complimentary November class, Ballet-tone. Classes will be held Thursdays, through Nov.19, from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Ballet-tone is a dance and fitness class that blends body toning, posture and alignment work with flexibility to define and lengthen the muscles while achieving a graceful poise and a sense of wellbeing. Classes are free and non-perishable food donations are encouraged.

Author signing event with EE King

Author EE King will stop by Dolly’s Bookstore from 6:30 to 8 p.m. to discuss "Dirk Quigby’s Guide to the Afterlife: All You Need to Know to Choose the Right Heaven." The book is a hilarious, evenhandedly satirical look at all the major religions and many of the minor ones wrapped in a story of Quiby’s own dealings with Lucifer, guardian angels and life. King is a Salt Lake City-based author.

Soldier Hollow Fundraiser

Sundance Film Festival tickets, VIP packages for the Soldier Hollow Classic Sheepdog Championships and 2010 Olympic clothing donated by the medal winning U.S. Nordic Combined Team are just some of the many unique items up for bid at the 10th annual Soup and Soldier Hollow on Friday, November 12. Dinner begins 6 p.m. and will be held at the Lodge at Soldier Hollow Resort. The auction begins at 7:30 p.m. All proceeds support Team Soldier Hollow and Soldier Hollow’s low cost introductory youth programs. For more information call 435-654- 2002.

Tom Reed at the Park City Library

Photographer and writer Tom Reed, described as "the Ansel Adams of Patagonia," is coming to Park City Nov. 13 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. to offer a presentation and book signing of his new coffee table book, ‘The Granite Avatars of Patagonia.’ The event is sponsored by Dolly’s Bookstore and will be held at the Park City Library building, 1255 Park Avenue.
