The Salt Lake City Arts Council is seeking local musicians of all disciplines for the 2012 Brown Bag Concert Series that will run from Aug. 6 through Aug. 31 at various outdoor venues in Salt Lake City. Applications are available online at http://www.slcgov.com/arts and are due at the council offices at the Art Barn, 54 Finch Lane, in Salt Lake City, by 4 p.m. on Friday, March 9. Region X Jazz Festival at the Eccles Center
The Region X Jazz Festival, featuring the Park City High School Varsity and Junior Varsity Jazz Ensembles will be held all day at the Eccles Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, March 7. The day will culminate with a jazz concert by the PCHS groups and the Treasure Mountain Junior High Jazz Ensmble at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
"Pirates" at Treasure Mountain Junior High
The Treasure Mountain Junior High School, 2530 Kearns Blvd., will present "The Pirates of Penzance," under the direction of teacher, Zachary Zumbrennan, on Thursday, March 9, and Friday, March 10, at 7 p.m. Student tickets are $2, adults $5 or $10.00 for a family.
Fundamental Drawing Class with Marshall Carbee at the Kimball Art Center

Los Lonely Boys at the Eccles Center
