Silly Market volunteers wanted

Join the Park Silly Sunday Market as a Zero Waste Warrior and learn what it takes to create a zero waste event. Responsibilities include sorting recyclables, maintaining zero waste stations and educating market-goers on how to recycle and why it is important. Willingness to get dirty with others who are passionate about the environment is a must. Paid and unpaid positions are available. The Market has volunteer opportunities for all interests/all ages. Utah Artists Expo registration

Registration for the Utah Artists Expo 2010 Competitions in Visual & Performing Arts is open through Aug. 9. Competitions in different categories will be held in Park City Aug. 11-20. Labor Day Book Sale

The Friends of the Park City Library will sponsor the annual Labor Day Weekend Used Book Sale Sept. 3-6 in the Jim Santy Auditorium. Book donations are being accepted at the Park City Library front desk. Proceeds from the sale go toward funding the library’s literacy programs as well strengthening library services and its collection of books. Students could be mask free for the last week of school

Gov. Cox announced that the state’s mask mandate in schools would end for the last week of classes. Park City School District officials strongly recommended that students continue to wear masks. South Summit officials anticipated they would not require masks for the final week.
