Help with the Arts Fest Volunteer for the 2010 Park City Kimball Arts Festival, which will be held on Main Street Aug. 6-8. Be a part of one of the top 10 festivals in the country, receive great perks and support the community. Caustic wax workshop

Spiro Arts will hosts the final artist workshop of 2010 July 5-9 at its studios at Silver Star. Encaustic artist Daniella Woolf will return for the third summer in a row to teach a session on painting with hot wax. The workshop will include studio time to create individual works as well as demonstrations and classroom discussions. The cost is $675 and the enrollment limit is 12 people. The Park City Ambassadors are responsible for organizing local Fourth of July traditions such as the parade and party in City Park, but you do not have to be in the Ambassadors to get involved. Come to an organizational meeting for volunteers on Thursday, June 17, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on S.R. 224 at 6 p.m. Sign up to help out at the parade or in the park afterwards.

Adopt-A-Native Elder meeting

The Adopt-A-Native Elder Program will hold a public meeting on Thursday, June 17, at 5:30 p.m. at the Park City Community Church, 4501 S.R. 224. Join the local nonprofit to help plan for the Navajo Rug Show and Sale that will be held Nov. 12-14. Food will be provided. For more information, visit
