Reminder: box office moves
Due to construction at the George S. & Dolores Dore Eccles Center for the Performing Arts, the Park City Performing Arts Foundation has relocated its box office for the summer. Tickets to all PCPAF events, including the St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights concerts are now available at the first floor of the Main Street Mall, located at 333 Main Street. The box office phone number will remain the same: 655-3114.
Canyons Saturday Summer Concert Series premiers
The Canyons Resort Village stages free concerts from 6 to 8:30 starting today, Saturday, with Intervision from 6 – 8:30 p.m. The concerts continue every Saturday at the same time. Next Week, Joseph Israel performs and Saturday, Aug. 2, The Romantics take the stage. Picnics and coolers are welcome.
Israeli art exhibit
Temple Har Shalom presents the ART2ART exhibition, Israel: 60 Years. The exhibit comprises 60 images on the growth and history of modern Israel by photojournalists of the Magnum Photo Agency. Sam Weller’s Bookstore wants residents’ best/worst past high school art for the Salt Lake City Gallery Stroll Aug. 15. Entries are due by Saturday August 9th. Tree Room series continues to grow
The Sundance Resort continues its 2008 Tree Room Author Series with the addition of noted author, Thurston Clarke. To date, this year’s series has brought such authors to the resort to speak on an array of topics as Former Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright, Maureen Dowd, Fred Krupp and fiction author, Joanne Harris. Clarke will speak at the resort on August 2nd, 2008 at noon in the Tree Room. He will discuss his book, The Last Campaign: Robert F. Kennedy and 82 Days that Inspired America.
