School Board Election Update

Three people sign up for seat five in Park City School District

The filing window for school board candidates closed on Friday.

In the Park City School District incumbent Kim Carson is running for seat four which covers Silver Creek/Red Hawk, Spring Creek/Jeremy Ranch and Southridge/Old Jeremy Ranch.

Just a day before the filing window closed no one running in seat five which covers Olympic Park, Lower Pinebrook/Ranch Estates, Timberline and Summit Park.

Three people have since stepped forward to replace Kathryn Adair who is not running again.

Karen Scott, Charles Cunningham and Michael Boyle are running for seat five.

In North Summit School District Thomas Toole, Merlyn Johnson, Phillip Geary and Terry Black are running for seat four. Jana Ross, Vern Willimas and Lane Wardrop are running for seat five.

In South Summit School District Phillip Marchant and Marve Mitchell are running for seat four. Karl Wagstaff and Matt Flinders are running for seat five.

A primary election will be held on June 27 for those seats with more than 2 candidates, the winners will continue on the general election in November.
