Skier fatally injured at Park City Mountain Resort
A 48-year-old man from Aspen, Colo., died Saturday after colliding with a tree at Park City Mountain Resort. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of family members.
A spokesperson for PCMR, said the accident took place on an advanced trail at approximately 10 a.m..
According to a release from the Park City Police Department, ski patrollers provided initial emergency care and a medical helicopter was summoned, but the patient could not be revived. He was pronounced deceased by staff from the University of Utah Medical Center.
In a statement, PCMR chief operating officer Bill Rock offered condolences.
"Park City Mountain Resort, Park City Patrol and the entire Vail Resorts family extend our deepest sympathy and support to our guest’s family and friends."
