Skiers board Town Lift after season debut delayed slightly
Park City Mountain Resort opened the Town Lift on Sunday morning, two days after the resort said a part needed to be replaced and that the lift’s season debut would be delayed for an undetermined amount of time.
The turnabout was a result of the resort finding a replacement part much more quickly than anticipated. Andy Miller, a resort spokesman, said "someone had the right connection" to obtain the part.
Miller did not immediately have information about where a replacement part was found. He did not have details about the role that the part plays in the overall operation of the lift.
The Town Lift was scheduled to open on Saturday, before it was discovered the part needed to be replaced. Miller said the lift operated without problems on Sunday.
The Town Lift connects lower Main Street with the resort’s slopes. It is among the older lifts at PCMR.
