Smash-and-grab reported, purse taken in Park City

The Park City Police Department last week received a series of complaints about vehicle windows being smashed and car burglaries.

The cases included:

  • a car window reported to be broken along the 1500 block of Park Avenue on Thursday, July 26 at 3:54 p.m. The police classified the case as criminal mischief.
  • a vehicle break-in reported in an underground garage on Heber Avenue, reported on Tuesday, July 24 at 4:04 p.m.
  • a burglary reported at 3:09 p.m. on Swede Alley on July 24. A passenger-side window was smashed and a purse was taken from inside.
  • a break-in reported at 2:59 p.m. on July 24 on Park Avenue. The police were told a passenger-side window was smashed while the vehicle was parked in an underground garage. It was not immediately clear if anything was taken from inside.
