South Summit schools start Tuesday
Students at South Summit Elementary School race to line up for their teachers as the first bell of the school year rings. Students enjoyed their last minutes of summer playing soccer on the field and playing on the playground before school began Tuesday. Students lined up with their classmates to be welcomed into the building by their teachers.
Louise Willoughby, South Summit Elementary Principal greets students on the playground as they prepared for the start of school. Before school began, faculty members walked among the students on the playground to ensure students were safe and accounted-for.
Park City School District contracts for AI gun detection service
Park City School District will pay $546,000 over the next five years for ZeroEyes, a software company that uses artificial intelligence to detect brandished firearms, to monitor 650 cameras in all 12 schools.
