Youth soccer league
The registration deadline is fast approaching for Park City Recreation’s Spring Youth Soccer League. Children ages 4-years-old through children now in the 4th grade are invited to join the league. Games are played on Saturdays and some Wednesday evenings at Willow Creek Park from April 20 through June 4. Volunteer coaches are needed for every team. The registration deadline is March 31. The Park City curling club is hosting a "Parrot head learn to curl" party Saturday, March 19, at the Park City Ice Arena. All equipment is provided, including brooms and sliders. Heber Valley Gun Club
On Sunday, April 3, Heber Valley Gun Club will host its annual Round Robin Trapshooting Tournament. The contest consists of four weeks April 3, 10, 17 and Finals on May 1. Seventy-five rounds will be fired each week. Shooting starts at 10 a.m. each week. Shooters of all abilities are welcome. New shooters are especially encouraged. The Park City Racquet Club is offering a new fitness program that will give participants personal training attention in a group setting. Dryland Training program is a six-week program that will increase muscular endurance, balance and body awareness all while preparing for summer. Free guided snowshoe hike
Join Basin Recreation as they guide willing participants through its vast trail system during guided snowshoe hikes. Trail conditions may vary, snowshoes, yak tracks or boots may be sufficient. Silver Mountain Sports Club offers Triathlon Training
Silver Mountain Sports Club & Spa will be running an eight-week triathlon training program for both first time and seasoned triathletes. USA Triathlon coach Sarah Dunlap will be holding three weekly 75-minute training sessions at SMSC focusing on swimming, cycling, running and strength training. Additional self-directed workouts and an online-tracking program will be part of the conditioning program. At the end of the session participants will be able to challenge themselves at Silver Mountain’s first annual Indoor Sprint Triathlon on April 23. The triathlon training program is open to the public, the eight-week training program including the 24-workout sessions and coaching is $300 for SMSC members, $450 for nonmembers.
