Moms On Bikes
Park City Recreation is offering weekly drop-in mountain-bike rides that are for moms and led by moms. Join or stick with it every week and watch your ability improve while you make new friends. Rides are Wednesdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. starting June 27. Ride locations vary weekly; e-mail Karen at firstname.lastname@example.org for weekly updates.
2012 Summer Skate Series
Don’t miss out on the action in Utah’s premier skate competition series. Park City Recreation will be hosting competitions on Saturdays June 30, July 28 and August 25 at Park City Skate Park. There will be Street and Bowl divisions based on ability. Advanced and day-of registration will be accepted. Summer Learn-to-Skate Camp
Beat the heat and hit the ice at the Park City Ice Arena’s fun ice-skating camp June 18-22. This camp is for recreational skaters ages 4 and older who are able to stand and skate on their own. Previous class experience is not required. Camp hours are 8:45 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. Campers will enjoy two group on-ice classes, practice time and an off-ice activity daily. Learn to Skate, Learn to Play Hockey classes
Fine-tune your skating and hockey skills this summer and get ready for the season ahead. Summer Session 1 classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 12, 14, 19, 21, 26 and 28, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The Park City Ice Arena offers skating classes for all levels, ages 3 to adult. Hockey is available to those future players, ages 6 to 14, who have passed the Snow Flurries Learn to Skate class in hockey skates. High Country Fly Fishers
On Wednesday, June 6, at 7:30 p.m., High Country Fly Fishers will hold its monthly meeting at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on S.R. 224. This month’s speaker will be Steve Schmidt of Western Rivers Fly Shop. Schmidt will be speaking on fishing small streams. The meeting is open to the general public. Junior Golf Camp
Registration for junior golf camps at the Park City Golf Club is now open. Children ages 7 to 12 are eligible and the scheduled time for each session is 9 a.m. to noon. Adult Golf Clinic

Kids’ Triathlon Training Classes
Silver Mountain Sports Club is now offering kids’ triathlon training classes. Led by USA triathlon coach Sarah Dunlap, tri-training is for kids ages 8 to 12 and begins on June 13. Classes will be Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m., and will focus on biking, running and swimming skills. Participants will finish the program by competing in the first annual SMSC Kids’ Triathlon on Saturday, July 28. Fee for the six-week training program includes entry into the triathlon; the cost is $150 for members and $250 for nonmembers. 34th Annual Park City Soccer Camp
Coach Randy Farris returns to Park City Recreation’s summer camp to offer a high-quality exciting opportunity for soccer skill development. Half- and full-day sessions are offered that include games, challenges, scrimmages, competitions and guaranteed fun. Camps are offered June 18- 22, June 25-29 and July 9-12. Registration is open now. Mountain Bike Clinic for Women
It’s time to ride! Join Park City Recreation for this women-only clinic designed to teach basic riding technique and increase confidence and ability. Become familiar with local trails, bikes, and what you are capable of doing in this small, supportive group class. The class is scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 12-21, from 10 a.m. to noon. OASIS Class at Silver Mountain
OASIS (Older Adults Staying In Shape) is a new fitness class now offered class at Silver Mountain Sports Club. This one-hour class, targeted at baby-boomers and older, is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to noon at the Prospector location (2080 Gold Dust Lane). Done in a safe, friendly and fun environment, OASIS emphasizes balance, coordination and strength and is taught by a certified personal trainer. OASIS is suitable for anyone who wants to get into better shape and then stay that way. The class is free to Silver Mountain members; nonmembers are welcome with a day-use fee. PC Tennis youth summer programs
Park City Tennis has registration open for its youth summer programs. Join the summer junior camp or mini-camp for clinics taught by USPTA-certified tennis professionals. Programs available for youth ages 3 to 17, beginners though advanced players. Single- or multiple-day registration options are available. Masters’ Swim for Adults
Get off your bike, get off the road and get into the pool: Masters’ swim classes for adults are offered Monday through Friday at the PC MARC, 1200 Little Kate Rd., from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. This coached swim program is great for triathlon training, endurance building, fat shredding and total body conditioning.
