Girls’ soccer tryouts

Park City coed 7v7 soccer league

Park City Recreation is gearing up for this fall’s coed 7v7 soccer league. Games will be played at the Park City Sports Complex Thursday nights Aug. 16-Oct. 18. This popular league fills fast! Basin Recreation flag football

It’s time to sign up for Basin Recreation NFL Flag Football. Games and practices will be held at the Fieldhouse from Aug. 24 through Oct. 17 starting with player evaluations. Registration is open to 1st through 8th graders. Cost is $65 per player. Sign up before Aug. 1 for the early-bird rate. Late signups result in a $10 late fee. Volunteer soccer coaches needed

Calling all coaches! Basin Recreation needs willing individuals to volunteer as coaches for the upcoming fall soccer league. The program runs Aug. 25–Oct. 13. Divisions are preschool through 9th grade boys and girls. Teams will meet twice a week for an hour. line> volunteering, you can create lasting memories for yourself and the players. PCHS boys’ golf tryouts

Tryouts for the Park City High School boys’ golf team, grades 9 through 12, will be held at the Jeremy Golf Course on Thursday, Aug. 2, at 6:45 a.m. Players must be dressed in golf attire and bring the PCHS tryout checklist form signed by themselves and a parent in order to try out. Players can print a copy from the Park City School District website under the heading forms at . If you have questions, contact coach George Murphy at . Tryouts will continue the following morning and the week of Aug. 6 to Aug. 9 as needed.

Basin Recreation fall soccer

Fall is fast approaching, so it’s time to sign up for Basin Recreation fall soccer. Games and practices will be held at Park City and Snyderville Basin fields. Boys and girls teams, grades K through 9, will practice and play games twice a week from Aug. 27 to Oct. 13. Preschoolers will practice and play games once a week starting Aug. 25. 2012 Summer Skate Series

Don’t miss out on the action in Utah’s premier skate-competition series. Park City Recreation will be hosting competitions on Saturday, July 28 and Saturday, Aug. 25, at Park City Skate Park. Kickboxing classes at Silver Mountain

World champion kickboxer and certified personal trainer Travis Mason is now offering American Style Kickboxing classes at Silver Mountain Sports Club. Mason has more than 20 years of competition experience and has been coaching for 15 years. His classes are perfect for anyone seeking a greater level of fitness or the skills to compete. Both youth (ages 8 to 16) and adult kickboxing classes are open to the public and are held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at Silver Mountain Sports Club’s Prospector location, 2080 Gold Dust Lane. PC MARC noon drop-in basketball

Drop into the PC MARC for some daily noon drop-in basketball. Players 18 to 34 can come to the MARC weekdays from noon to 2 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. Players 35 and older are welcome Tuesdays and Thursdays. Daily drop-in rates apply. Call the PC MARC with any questions at (435) 615-5401.

Park City Women’s 9-Hole Golf League

Park City is home to the largest women’s 9-hole golf league in the state. The league plays on Tuesdays at the Park City Golf Course throughout the summer, with the season running until the end of September. It’s a fun and social organization that offers women of any skill level the opportunity to play golf in a friendly atmosphere. Outlaw Golf Club Junior Classes

The Outlaw Golf Club at Hideout Canyon is offering PGA Junior Golf classes throughout the golf season. Classes, which include supervised on-course instruction, are held from 10:30 am to noon every Tuesday and Thursday from now until October. Costs are $25 per class or $100 for five classes. Park City Ute Youth Football Registration

Registration for the 2012 Ute Youth Football Conference Season is now open. Children ages 8 to 14 living in the Park City School District boundaries are welcome to register. The season begins July 30 and runs through October. The fee is $265 plus a $50 volunteer fee refundable with seven hours of volunteer service. Fees cover season rental of top-of-the-line equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, practice pants, game pants, socks and mouth guard) and two jerseys your player may keep with an embroidered name on both jerseys. PC Tennis youth summer programs

Park City Tennis has registration open for its youth summer programs. Join the summer junior camp or mini-camp for clinics taught by USPTA-certified tennis professionals. Programs available for youth ages 3 to 17, beginners though advanced players. Single- or multiple-day registration options are available.
