Park City Competitive Baseball Tryouts

Park City Baseball will be holding tryouts for two fall baseball teams Wednesday, August 1 at 6 p.m. at the McPolin baseball field. Players must be 9 years old or younger on April 30, 2013, for the 9U team and 10 or younger on April 30, 2013, for the 10U team. The fall program is intended as an opportunity to prepare teams for the spring and summer of the 2013 season. Park City baseball is a development program for the PCHS teams and is committed to developing baseball players in the proper fundamentals under a competitive environment. Mountain Bike Clinic for Women

It’s time to ride! Join Park City Recreation for a women’s-only mountain bike clinic, designed to teach basic riding technique and increase confidence and ability. Become familiar with local trails, your bike and what you are capable of doing on it in this small, supportive group class. The classes are scheduled to run Tuesdays and Thursdays starting August 14 from 10 a.m. to noon. Space is limited, so register at or call (435) 615-5400.

Basin Recreation flag football

It’s time to sign up for Basin Recreation NFL Flag Football. Games and practices will be held at the Fieldhouse from Aug. 24 through Oct. 17 starting with player evaluations. PCHS boys’ golf tryouts

Tryouts for the Park City High School boys’ golf team, grades 9 through 12, will be held at the Jeremy Golf Course on Thursday, Aug. 2, at 6:45 a.m. Players must be dressed in golf attire and bring the PCHS tryout checklist form signed by themselves and a parent in order to try out. Park City coed 7v7 soccer league

Park City Recreation is gearing up for this fall’s coed 7v7 soccer league. Games will be played at the Park City Sports Complex Thursday nights Aug. 16-Oct. 18. This popular league fills fast! Volunteer soccer coaches needed

Calling all coaches! Basin Recreation needs willing individuals to volunteer as coaches for the upcoming fall soccer league. The program runs Aug. 25-Oct. 13. PC MARC Family Field Day and 5K

Come to the family field day and 5K at the PC MARC Saturday, Aug. 11. The family 5K will begin at 8:30 am with a finish at the PC MARC where everyone can enjoy field day events for the kids, bounce houses, and free giveaways from local health vendors from 9 to 11a.m. Finish-line vendor and field day activities are free! The PC MARC invites the whole community from noon to 1 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month for the wellness education Lunch and Learns, where local speakers discuss topics concerning your overall wellbeing. Basin Recreation fall soccer

Fall is fast approaching, so it’s time to sign up for Basin Recreation fall soccer. Games and practices will be held at Park City and Snyderville Basin fields. Boys and girls teams, grades K through 9, will practice and play games twice a week from Aug. 27 to Oct. 13. Preschoolers will practice and play games once a week starting Aug. 25. Kickboxing classes at Silver Mountain

World champion kickboxer and certified personal trainer Travis Mason is now offering American Style Kickboxing classes at Silver Mountain Sports Club. Mason has more than 20 years of competition experience and has been coaching for 15 years. His classes are perfect for anyone seeking a greater level of fitness or the skills to compete. Both youth (ages 8 to 16) and adult kickboxing classes are open to the public and are held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at Silver Mountain Sports Club’s Prospector location, 2080 Gold Dust Lane. Park City Women’s 9-Hole Golf League

Park City is home to the largest women’s 9-hole golf league in the state. The league plays on Tuesdays at the Park City Golf Course throughout the summer, with the season running until the end of September. It’s a fun and social organization that offers women of any skill level the opportunity to play golf in a friendly atmosphere. Outlaw Golf Club Junior Classes

The Outlaw Golf Club at Hideout Canyon is offering PGA Junior Golf classes throughout the golf season. Classes, which include supervised on-course instruction, are held from 10:30 am to noon every Tuesday and Thursday from now until October. Costs are $25 per class or $100 for five classes.
