Park City PeeWee Champions
The Ute Football Conference, United Division, crowned its PeeWee champions last Saturday as Park City completed an undefeated season by going 11-0 with a 13-0 shut-out over West in a foot of snow to win the championship. Key defensive stops by Zane Severson, Hunter Thomas, Ben Quinones, Harry Lawson, Greyson Scharffs, Paul Baynes, Judd Kelsch and Jake Kohn (including an interception) kept the large West team in check the entire game. Textbook execution of blocking on offense led by Jimmy Williams, Jared Rangel, Caleb Sapp, Beck Barrett, Nick Kraus, Levi Baglino and Jack Skidmore provided the way for two Brady Bauman touchdown runs of 35 and 45 yards. Passing in freezing temperatures and knee-deep snow, Derrick Davis completed a diving connection to Theo Mazzone to gain an extra point. Teamwork was critical to the success of this season as everyone played a huge role. The championship team consisted of 23 players and five coaches and included: Levi Baglino, Beck Barrett, Brady Baumann, Paul Baynes, Derrick Davis, Parker Giblin, Smith Jenson, Judd Kelsch, Jake Kohn, Nick Kraus, Harry Lawson, Aaron Macritchie, Theo Mazzone, Ben Quinones, Jared Rangel, Caleb Sapp, Greyson Scharffs, Zane Severson, Jack Skidmore, Nick Sylvester, Hunter Thomas, Austin Veenendaal, and Jimmy "nobody owns you" Williams. Coaches were Ted Baumann, Mike Mazzone, Jason Davis, Greg Bair and Ryan Saap.
