Sled doge race

The Pedigree Stage-Stop Sled dog race will take place on the entire Round Valley nordic trail system this Saturday, Feb. 6. The course prep work will take place from 10 a.m. until noon. The race will begin at noon and continue until 3 p.m. Please keep pets on leashes during the race and stay off the course from noon to 3 p.m.

Feb. break camp

A February break camp for kids ages 7-12, or first through seventh grade, will be held Feb. 16-19 at Ecker Hill Middle School from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The camp includes swimming, games, arts and crafts and sledding. Winter Games party

The Winter Sports School is bringing together bowling and the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games for one great cause. Come out to the Vancouver 2010 Night Before the Opening Ceremonies Party Thursday, Feb. 11, 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Jupiter Bowl, Newpark Town Center, Kimball Junction. The tax-deductible admission fee is $100 per adult and $25 per child (for up to two kids 17 and under when accompanied by an adult) and includes bowling, food, beverages, silent and live auctions and gold-medal fun. This community fundraising event is sponsored by American Express, Park City Tech Center, Park City Board of Realtors, USANA Health Sciences, Zions Resort Bank and the Youth Winter Sports Alliance. All proceeds will benefit The Winter Sports School Scholarship Fund. Last year, the fund awarded more than $80,000 in scholarships to 22 deserving students. Hit the ice

Park City Ice Arena offers ice skating lessons for skaters ages three to adult and all ability levels. Classes are offered Tuesdays beginning Feb. 23 from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. or Fridays beginning Feb. 26 from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. Registration is $60 and includes six 30-minute classes, practice time, skate rental and a punch card for three open-skate sessions. Adult-only class

Youth soccer league

Park City Recreation is now accepting registration for children ages 4 years old through fourth grade for the spring youth soccer league. Games will be played on Saturdays and some Wednesday evenings at Willow Creek Park beginning April 17. Registration deadline is March 29. Volunteer coaches are needed for every team. Basketball camp

On June 7-10, HSBCAMPS will hit the courts of Park City High School to lead four-day morning clinics and day camps geared towards teaching and developing the fundamentals of basketball for boys and girls in grades kindergarten through 12. There will be a morning clinic for grades K-3 from 8 to 9:50 a.m. The cost to attend is $99. The day camp, for grades 4-12, will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $250. From group drills and individual contests to team competitions and guest lectures, players will participate in instructional work with the HSBCAMPS staff, comprised of collegiate and professional coaches and players. Every participant will receive a camp T-shirt, as well as other prizes provided by sponsors. Availability is limited.
