Tuesday trail runs with Mountain Trails

The Mountain Trails Foundation announces the start of the Tuesday Trail Runs series from June 1 to Aug. 31. The runs take place around Park City and are free of charge. Runners meet every Tuesday at a scheduled trailhead at 6 p.m. The schedule is posted on Participants lead the runs you may run with friends and a group or pick up the pace for training. Novice trail runners are welcome and encouraged to participate.

High Country fly fishers meet June 2

On Wednesday, June 2, at 7:30 p.m., the High Country Fly Fishers the Park City Chapter of Trout Unlimited will be holding their monthly meeting upstairs at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at the intersection of SR 224 and White Pine Canyon Road. In addition to its general business meeting, the club will be featuring a presentation by Justin Robinson of the Utah DNR titled "The Strawberry Reservoir Fishery." HSBCAMPS return to Park City

On June 7-10, HSBCAMPS will hit the courts of Park City High School to lead four-day morning clinics and day camps geared towards teaching and developing the fundamentals of basketball for boys and girls in grades kindergarten through 12. There will be a morning clinic for grades K-3 from 8 to 9:50 a.m. The cost to attend is $99. The day camp, for grades 4-12, will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $250. From group drills and individual contests, to team competitions and guest lectures, players will participate in instructional work with the HSBCAMPS staff, comprised of collegiate and professional coaches and players. Summer camps for teens in Basin

Teen adventure camps for kids 11-15 are being put on by Basin Recreation this summer. Campers will visit water parks, play laser tag, paint ball, hike and more. A brand-new Art Adventure camp offers kids the chance to learn the basics of a variety of art mediums from local instructors. Golf clinic for adults of all levels

LPGA pro Cynthia Brown, PGA apprentice Vaughn Robinson and Ken Stenmark will teach the full swing, short game and rules and etiquette to adults of all skill levels. One-week programs for aspiring sailors

The Park City Sailing Association (PCSA) will host one-week programs beginning June 14, allowing novice sailors to test the water. PCSA will continue to host a two-week and four-week program, but now customers can also choose any week from June 14 through Aug. 2. Classes are for beginners in the morning and beginner-intermediates in the afternoon. The program is located at the Jordanelle Reservoir and is run by U.S. Sailing-certified instructors.
