Memorial run for runner Jeremy Kunz
Jeremy Kunz of Kamas was struck and killed by a drunken driver while running in a race in Las Vegas. Prior to his death, Jeremy was serving as the Stake Young Men’s President for Kamas Stake. The youth of that stake will be raising funds for the family of Kunz and going around door to door to ask for donations for $5 glow sticks that will illuminate the course at this year’s race on the night of June 18. The race will begin at Oakley Fairgrounds on S.R. 302/S.R. 32. Each glow stick will have a ribbon attached to it on which individuals can add their name or a special message to the Kunz family. The ribbons will be collected after the race and given to Jeremy’s wife, Melinda. All proceeds will go to the Kunz family trust fund, and checks can be made out to Jeremy Kunz Descendants Trust.
