Park City Extreme Cup soccer
The seventh annual Park City Extreme Cup soccer tournament will bring a record 260 teams to Summit County, up from 204 last year. Teams will come from all over the Western United States, with play beginning Thursday morning, Aug. 5. Finals will be held on Saturday, Aug. 7. Venues include Quinn’s Junction, Trailside Park, Ecker Hill International School, North 40, Treasure Mountain Middle School, Willow Creek Park, and a venue in Oakley. Power Hour @ the Park workouts for moms
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, Whitney Kozlowski invited mothers to bring their strollers to Willow Creek Park at 9 a.m. for "boot-camp-style" workouts that last 60 minutes and include a mix of drills, cardio and strength training. The workouts are held outdoors and accompanied by music. Cost is free for the first class and $8 per class afterward. For $80, mothers can buy an unlimited pass, and a $35 punch pass is offered for five classes. Mothers with babies should bring jogging strollers, and participants are also welcome to come without their babies in tow. PCHS to hold golf tryouts

Four seasons holds fly fishing festival
The Four Seasons Fly Fishers of Utah will be host to the Heber Valley Fly Fishing Festival 2010 on Aug. 14 at the Johnson Mill Bed & Breakfast Inn in Midway from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free to the public, and includes casting clinics, on-water nymph clinics, dry-fly clinics, and catch-and-release techniques. Participate in the casting competition to win one of several prizes. Raffle tickets will also be available, and catering will be provided by Tommy’s Texas BBQ.
Golf course to host annual PCMGC event
The annual Park City Men’s Golf Club member/member member/guest event at the Park City Golf Course is accepting registration for the first 60 paid teams. Salt Lake Bees transportation package
On Aug. 8, the New York Pizza Company and Park City Transportation are offering a $28 package that includes round-trip transportation, one reserved box seat, beverages on the bus, post-game pizza, and a reserved seat for a concert at Quarry Village featuring Coles Wholen. 12th annual TriUtah Jordanelle Triathlon
Registration closes on Sunday, Aug. 15, for the 12th annual TriUtah Jordanelle Triathlon at Jordanelle State Park. Packet pickup will be available Tuesday, Aug. 17, at Salt Lake Running and Multisport (2454 south, 700 east). Packet pickup and body marking are offered 6:30-8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21, with races starting at 8:30 a.m. Sprint and Olympic races are offered. Park City Recreation is offering 7 vs. 7 adult coed flag football in City Park on Thursday nights, beginning Sept. 2 and running through Oct. 28. Basin Recreation offers guided trail hikes
Basin Recreation will be offering guided hikes on its vast trail system, two times each month. Basin Recreation staff will instruct participants on proper trail etiquette, safety issues and trail knowledge. Kids are welcome, but not strollers or dogs.
