Stand-up comedy returns to the stage

Submitted by The Egyptian Theatre

Park City’s favorite laugh artist, Kathleen McCann, returns to The Egyptian Theatre Thursday, Jan. 9, to host another night of comedy. McCann first appeared at The Egyptian back in November with Cleopatra’s Comedy Club, which featured all female comedians. This time around, she is bringing the men to the stage so they can have their say.

Tom Riehl, who has worked comedy clubs all over the nation and appeared on numerous TV specials, will open the evening. Riehl created his own TV show called "Food Rule," which combines his love of cooking and comedy. His high-energy style mixed with his unique perspective has made him a favorite of comedy aficionados all over the U.S.

The headliner for the event, Jeff Capri, is a second-generation comedian who has a cynical edge but prefers to work clean. He’s worked at events all over the U.S. and participated in a few military tours entertaining the troops. He has appeared on numerous television shows including "Last Comic Standing" and Ed McMahon’s "Next Big Star." A Second City Conservatory graduate, he has strong improvisational abilities that help him adapt to any crowd.

The event will start at 8:30 p.m. with doors opening a half hour prior to the show. Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door and $25 for cabaret seating. Cleopatra’s Comedy Club sold out fast, so make sure to buy tickets in advance by calling 649-9371 or visiting http://www.parkcityshows.com.
