Students compete in chess State Championship
More than 600 kindergarten through sixth grade students gathered at the University of Utah last week for the State Chess Championships. Three Park City School District students attended, including third-grader Michael Pilzer, fourth-grader Maxwell Pilzer and sixth-grader Sam Mason, who won the state competition for his age group for the third consecutive year. Mason was the only player to go undefeated out of 80 players in his age group with a 6-0 record.
With 40,000 square feet of retail space, 234 condos and something called a “ski beach,” the Pendry project will be a major addition to Canyons Village.
