Bike rodeo rolls into Sheriff’s Office parking lot
Summit County Lt. Nick Wilkinson explains to a 6-year-old Talon Odenbach how to maneuver through the bicycle safety course on Tuesday during the Children’s Bike Rodeo at the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.
Odenbach’s mother, Tanya, works in the dispatch center of the Sheriff’s Office. She said she brought her son to the event to "learn more about bicycle safety."
Nearly 15 children and several law enforcement officials, including Sheriff Justin Martinez, attended the event.
The Sheriff’s Office partnered with the Summit County Health Department to offer the safety course, bike and helmet inspections, and food and prizes.
