According to the Summit County Attorney’s Office, the following cases were heard on March 28 in 3rd District Court at the Summit County Justice Center:

Andrew Stephen Burns Jr, 63, of Key West, Florida, entered a guilty plea to assault, a Class A misdemeanor. Sentencing is May 16.

Malcolm A. Hipwell, 27, of Park City, entered a guilty plea to assault, a Class A misdemeanor, and assault, a Class B misdemeanor. Sentencing is May 16.

Eviz Carrasco, 43, of Park City, entered a guilty plea to stalking, a third-degree felony. Sentencing is May 9.

Nou Yang, 47, of Redding, California, was sentenced for the offense of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, a third-degree felony. The court imposed a zero-to-five year sentence at the Utah State Prison and a $5,000 fine. That sentence was stayed and the court placed the defendant on court probation for 24 months, ordered the defendant to serve 80 days in the Summit County Jail and complete other standard terms and conditions.
