According to the Summit County Attorney's Office, the following cases were heard on Monday, June 27, in Third District Court at the Summit County Justice Center:

Oakley Don Franklin, 19, of Heber City, entered into a 12 month plea in abeyance to failure to stop at command of law enforcement, a Class A misdemeanor, and entered a guilty plea to giving false personal identity to peace officer, a Class C misdemeanor. The court imposed a 90-day jail sentence and a $2,000 fine. That sentence was stayed and the court placed the defendant on court probation for 12 months, ordered the defendant to pay a $500 abeyance fee and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Wanda Brianne Kilpack, 33, of Park City, entered a guilty plea to possession or use of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor. The court imposed a one-year jail sentence. That sentence was stayed and the court placed the defendant on court probation for 12 months, ordered her to serve 17 days in jail with credit for time served and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Grayson Maddux, 18, of Park City, entered into a 12-month plea in abeyance to sell, offer, furnish alcoholic product to a minor, a Class A misdemeanor. The court ordered the defendant to pay a $200 abeyance fee, complete 50 hours of community service and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Susan Haas McJames, 59, of Park City, entered a guilty plea to driving under the influence, a Class A misdemeanor. Sentencing is August 15.

Matthew L. Worth, 22, of South Jordan, entered a guilty plea to impaired driving, a Class B misdemeanor. The court imposed a 180-day jail sentence. That sentence was stayed and the court placed the defendant on court probation for 12 months, ordered him to serve two days in jail, pay a $1,200 fine and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Augustus James Cole, 28, of Ogden, was sentenced for the offenses of: purchase, transfer, possession, use of a firearm by a restricted person, a third-degree felony; possession or use of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor; use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class B misdemeanor; driving on a suspended license, a Class C misdemeanor; open container, a Class C misdemeanor; and no proof of insurance, a Class C misdemeanor. For the third-degree felony charge, the court imposed a zero-to-five year sentence at the Utah State Prison. That sentence was stayed and the court imposed a 60-day jail sentence. For the Class A misdemeanor, the court imposed a one-year jail sentence, which was suspended. For the Class B misdemeanor, the court imposed a 180-day jail sentence, which was also suspended. The court also suspended the sentences for the three Class C misdemeanors. The court placed the defendant on 36 months of supervised probation, ordered him to serve 60 days in jail with credit for 18 days served, to pay a $603 fine, to pay a $500 recoupment fee and complete other standard terms and conditions.
