According to the Summit County Attorney's Office, the following cases were heard on Monday, June 5 in 3rd District Court at the Summit County Justice Center:

Christopher C. Burnett, 42, of Oakley, entered a guilty plea to domestic violence in the presence of a child, a Class A misdemeanor, and intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor. Sentencing is July 31.

Robert Eugene Hester, 60, of Salt Lake City, entered a guilty plea to violation of a protective order, a Class A misdemeanor. The court imposed a one-year jail sentence and suspended 348 days. The court placed the defendant on probation for 18 months, ordered him to serve 17 days in jail with credit for 17 days served, and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Crystal Rae Keeley, 36, of Heber City, entered into a 24-month plea in abeyance to possession or use of a controlled substance, a third-degree felony; receive or transfer of stolen vehicle, a second-degree felony; interference with an arresting officer, a Class B misdemeanor; and open container, a Class C misdemeanor. The court ordered the defendant to successfully complete Drug Court.

Coy L. Langston, 43, of West Point, entered into an 18-month plea in abeyance to attempted wanton destruction of protected wildlife, a Class A misdemeanor. The court ordered the defendant to pay a $600 fee, pay $750 in restitution to the Help Stop Poaching Fund, complete 40 hours of community service, and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Mark E. McGinnis, 58, of Heber City, entered into a 12-month plea in abeyance to possession or use of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor. The court ordered the defendant to pay a $500 fee and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Heidi Lee Whitlow, 56, of Park City, entered into a 12-month plea in abeyance to attempted assault against a peace officer, a Class B misdemeanor, and assault, a Class B misdemeanor. The court ordered the defendant to complete standard terms and conditions.

Kristy A. Wolford, 27, of Richmond, entered a guilty plea to possession or use of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor. The court imposed a 180-day jail sentence with credit for 25 days served.

Christian Vieyra-Alvarado, 26, of Park City, was sentenced for the offense of assault, a Class B misdemeanor. The court imposed a 180-day jail sentence and a $1,000 fine. That sentence was suspended and the court placed the defendant on court probation for 12 months, ordered him to pay a $500 fine, pay restitution of $2,500, and complete other standard terms and conditions.
