According to the Summit County Attorney’s Office, the following cases were heard on Oct. 26 in Third District Court at the Summit County Justice Center:

Steven J. Dollmeyer, 26, Tooele, entered a guilty plea to attempted possession or use of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor. The court imposed a one-year jail sentence and a $2,500 fine. That sentence was stayed and the court placed the defendant on court probation for 18 months, ordered him to complete 20 hours of community service, pay a $400 fine, complete a substance abuse evaluation and recommended treatment and other standard terms and conditions.

Nathaniel R. Hortberg, 22, of Centennial, Colorado, entered a guilty plea to attempted possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, a Class A misdemeanor, and possession or use of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor. The court imposed a one-year jail sentence. That sentence was stayed and the court placed the defendant on court probation for 12 months, ordered him to serve 15 days in jail with credit for 15 days served and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Peter Gerard Papineau, 20, of Park City, entered a guilty plea to attempted wrongful appropriation, a Class A misdemeanor. The court imposed a one-year jail sentence and a $2,500 fine. That sentence was stayed and the court placed the defendant on court probation for 24 months, ordered him to complete 25 hours of community service and complete other standard terms and conditions. He also entered a guilty plea to criminal mischief, a Class A misdemeanor. The court imposed a one-year jail sentence and a $2,500 fine. That sentence was stayed and the court placed the defendant on court probation for 24 months and ordered him to complete standard terms and conditions.

Jennifer Lynn Snow, 43, of Draper, entered a guilty plea to attempted possession of prohibited items in a correctional or secured mental health facility by an inmate, a Class A misdemeanor. The court imposed a one-year jail sentence and a $2,500 fine. That sentence was stayed and the court placed the defendant on supervised probation for 18 months, ordered her to serve two days in jail, pay a $500 fine and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Mark F. Speakman, 59, of Grove City, Ohio, entered a guilty plea to possession or use of a controlled substance, a third-degree felony. The court imposed a zero-to-five year sentence at the Utah State Prison and a $5,000 fine. That sentence was stayed and the court placed the defendant on supervised probation for three months, ordered him to serve 60 days in jail and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Caleb Gragg, 26, of Aspen, Colorado, entered a guilty plea to attempted failure to stop at command of law enforcement, a Class B misdemeanor, and possession or use of a controlled substance, a Class B misdemeanor. The court imposed a 180-day jail sentence and a $750 fine. Christopher Anthony Winterer, 41, Salt Lake City, was sentenced for the offense of driving under the influence, a Class A misdemeanor. The court imposed a one-year jail sentence and a $2,500 fine. That sentence was stayed and the court placed the defendant on supervised probation for 36 months, ordered him to serve three days in jail, 90 days of monitored home confinement, and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Scott Taylor Poston, 43, of Park City, entered into a plea in abeyance for six months to attempted offer bribe to a public servant, a Class A misdemeanor. The court ordered the defendant to complete 20 hours of community service, pay a $750 fine and complete other standard terms and conditions.
