Court report: Park City man pleads guilty to retaliation against a witness, victim or informant

According to the Summit County Attorney's Office, the following cases were heard on Monday, Feb. 4, in 3rd District Court at the Summit County Justice Center:

Kevin Cory Kline, 36, of Park City, entered a guilty plea to possession or use of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor. The court imposed a one-year jail sentence. The court suspended 346 days, placed him on court probation for 12 months and ordered him to serve 19 days in jail with credit for 19 days served, and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Maile William Latu, 29, of Salt Lake City, entered a guilty plea to theft, a third-degree felony, and burglary, a third-degree felony. Sentencing is scheduled for March 18.

Jordan Helaman Roath, 18, of Coalville, entered into a 12-month plea in abeyance to theft, a class A misdemeanor. The court ordered him to pay a $350 fee, complete 25 hours of community service and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Amy Shaw, 48, of Woodland, entered a guilty plea to aggravated assault, a third-degree felony. Sentencing is scheduled for March 18.

Wyatt Joshua Taylor, 22, of Park City, entered a guilty plea to retaliation against a witness, victim or informant, a third-degree felony. Sentencing is scheduled for March 18.

Charles David Van Maren, 25, of Park City, entered into an 18-month plea in abeyance to failure to respond to an officer's signal to stop, a third-degree felony. The court ordered him to pay a $600 fee, complete 25 hours of community service, and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Jody K. Webb, 56, of Murray, entered a guilty plea to theft, a third-degree felony. Sentencing is scheduled for March 18.

Alphonzo Robert Bell, 36, of Park City, entered a guilty plea to attempted aggravated assault, a class A misdemeanor. Sentencing is scheduled for April 8.

Heather Renee Hayden, 51, of Evanston, Wyoming, entered a guilty plea to attempted forgery, a class A misdemeanor. Sentencing is scheduled for March 25.

Charles Frank Hendry, 41, of Fort Jones, California, entered a guilty plea to possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, a third-degree felony. The court imposed a sentence of zero to five years at the Utah State Prison. The sentence was suspended. The court imposed a 73-day jail sentence. The court placed him on court probation for 12 months and ordered the defendant to serve 73 days in jail with credit for 29 days served, and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Brian Ali Hammad, 52, of Park City, was sentenced for the offense of purchase, transfer, possession or use of a firearm by a restricted person, a class A misdemeanor. The court imposed a one-year jail sentence. The sentence was suspended. The court placed him on supervised probation for 24 months and ordered him to complete 60 hours of community service, and other standard terms and conditions.

Cary Neil Tillack, 50, of Oak Harbor, Washington, was sentenced for the offense of reckless endangerment, a class A misdemeanor. The court imposed a one-year jail sentence. The court suspended 364 days and placed him on supervised probation for 24 months and ordered him to serve one day in jail with credit for one day served, complete 25 hours of community service, pay restitution of $6,333.81 and complete other standard terms and conditions.
