According to the Summit County Attorney’s Office, the following cases were heard on Aug. 31 in Third District Court at the Summit County Justice Center:

Michael Patrick Donovan, 48, of Norfolk, Virginia, entered a guilty plea to attempted theft by receiving stolen property, a third-degree felony. Sentencing is Oct. 19.

Kouayseng Hwang, 36, of Fresno, California, entered a guilty plea to attempted possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, a Class A misdemeanor. The court imposed a one-year jail sentence and a $2,500 fine. That sentence was stayed and the court placed the defendant on court probation for 12 months, ordered the defendant to pay a $2,500 fine and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Irina Lyubner, 56, of Park City, entered a guilty plea to driving under the influence, a third-degree felony. Sentencing is Oct. 19.

Lloyd Russell Stinson, 55, of Park City, entered a guilty plea to driving under the influence, a third-degree felony, and assault as domestic violence, a Class B misdemeanor. Sentencing is Oct. 19.

Joshua Crae Clift, 36, of Heber City, was sentenced for assault, a Class A misdemeanor. The court imposed a one-year jail sentence and a $2,500 fine. That sentence was stayed and the court placed the defendant on supervised probation for 24 months, ordered him to serve 60 days in jail with credit for four days previously served, pay a $200 recoupment fee and complete other standard terms and conditions.
