On Thursday, members of the community, the Coalville Public Works Department and the Summit County Jail’s Inmate Worker Program helped to fill and stockpile sandbags in Coalville to mitigate any impact of future flooding.

Flooding last Sunday impacted several homes and Coalville Mayor Trever Johnson said that 75 volunteers had helped fill and deliver 2,300 sandbags over the course of seven hours that day.

With precipitation and temperatures in the high 40s expected this weekend, flooding danger in the area will be present.
