The Summit County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls between Friday, Sept. 6, and Monday, Sept. 9.
A woman was stopped on State Road 224 for traveling without her headlights on. Deputies smelled a strong odor of alcohol on her breath and later performed poorly on field sobriety tests. While being handcuffed, the woman refused to comply with the officer and almost walked into oncoming traffic. The officer used wrist locks to get her into handcuffs.
A suspect broke the windows of five different cars during a soccer game in the Snyderville Basin on Sept. 7. A purse was stolen from each vehicle. Park City had a similar case occur earlier in the day. The case is still under investigation.
A deputy responded to a man and woman fighting in the Snyderville Basin on Sept. 7. Neither individual claimed there was any physical contact but the man was arrested for a Wasatch County disorderly conduct warrant.
After making a traffic stop for a failure to signal, deputies determined the passenger, who had no seatbelt, had a warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and booked into the Summit County Jail.
Deputies responded to a call of two males breaking into a vehicle in the Snyderville Basin. The area was searched and the suspects could not be located, during which time a second vehicle burglary occurred. Pictures were taken of the suspects’ footprints and the case will be put under investigation.

Deputies responded to a complaint of a woman screaming and crying in the Snyderville Basin. Contact was made with two individuals, who claimed the situation was a verbal disagreement.
A woman was stopped in her vehicle for having an active warrant. Drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in her car and the passenger, a male, was also arrested for drug possession. A three-year-old child was also present in the car. Both individuals were arrested for possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and child endangerment.
A woman in North Summit called to report a possible sexual assault involving minors. A deputy began gathering information and passed it on for investigation.
A woman in North Summit reported being sexually assaulted by a man she had previously told to leave her residence. The case is under investigation.
An individual in the Snyderville Basin reported that a construction trailer was burglarized during the night. Approximately $7,000 worth of equipment was taken and there are no suspects at this time.
Officials at a church in the Snyderville Basin reported that at some point during the night an unknown suspect broke into a key lock box, entered the church and stole the contents of the collection jar. They estimated that approximately $200 was taken.
Deputies responded to a suicidal man in the parking lot of a South Summit business. He was transported to the University of Utah Hospital.
