Summit County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to numerous calls between Tuesday, Dec. 30, and Sunday, Jan. 4, including the following:
Sunday, Jan. 4
A man near Jeremy Ranch purchased an iPhone 5s from a private seller online in Salt Lake City, but when he tried to active the phone he discovered it had been reported as lost or stolen.
A man reported his car was stolen from a retail store at Kimball Junction. He listed golf equipment among the items taken.
Saturday, Jan. 3
A man in the North Snyderville Basin reported that one of his vehicle’s tires had been slashed.

A North Summit hotel owner reported a trespasser. The suspect gathered his belongings and left.
Deputies responded to a owner’s report of missing tools at his maintenance lot in the North Snyderville Basin. The items reported stolen were a table saw, two chain saws, compressor, grinder, three toolboxes, paint sprayer, and spare keys to three snow plow trucks.
A man reported that his wife parked her vehicle at a retail store in the Kimball Junction area and upon returning home to Salt Lake City, noticed items missing from the car with values totaling more than $500.
Friday, Jan. 2
Deputies responded to domestic violence reports at a residence near the Tanger Outlets, which resulted in one man’s arrest for domestic violence charges and possession of paraphernalia.
Deputies successfully served a protective order in North Summit.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in South Summit after receiving reports of slashed tires. Deputies located a suspect and he was issued a citation for criminal mischief.
Deputies were dispatched to residence in the South Snyderville Basin on a citizen dispute, when deputies smelled marijuana. Once a search warrant was granted, deputies discovered marijuana, paraphernalia, and hash. Two suspects were released on citations and four were arrested.
Thursday, Jan. 1
A person was found deceased at their residence in South Summit, after suffering from medical issues.
Wednesday, Dec. 31
A woman reported items were missing from her vehicle near Jeremy Ranch. Among the items taken were a set of skis, boots, poles, and a jacket.
Deputies were dispatched on reports of a past occurred vehicle burglary in the South Snyderville Basin, where cross country skis were among the items taken.

Deputies responded to a residence in North Summit after receiving reports that the spark plug wires had been cut on the complainant’s vehicle for the fourth time.
Construction tools were reported as stolen from an unsecured residence in the North Snyderville Basin.
Deputies responded to a residence in the North Snyderville Basin and arrested a woman for intoxication.
Deputies responded to the South Snyderville Basin after receiving reports of a suspicious suspect walking away from the drive way of a residence. The woman reported that numerous bottles of alcohol were missing from her vehicle.
