Summit County Sheriff’s deputies cited two hotel employees for theft on Monday after they admitted to stealing guests’ wallets.
Deputies were dispatched to the hotel after security suspected several wallets were taken from different rooms in the hotel. Security placed five decoy wallets in various rooms and three of the wallets were discovered with employees, a report stated. Sergeant Ron Bridge said an investigation is ongoing.
"Because of the amount of people involved, I can’t even comment on whether anyone was cited or summoned to court," Bridge said.
Deputies also responded to numerous other calls between Monday, Nov. 10 and Monday, Nov. 17, including the following:
Monday, Nov. 10
Deputies were dispatched to a residence south of Interstate 80 because a man was threatening to use a shotgun on someone at his residence. He was arrested and booked into the Summit County Jail for intoxication.

A woman was driving down White Pine Canyon Road when she hit a patch of ice, lost control of her vehicle, and struck a tree. She declined medical attention and was released. After deputies smelled marijuana coming from a vehicle at a gas station in Silver Summit, the passenger was cited for possession of both marijuana and paraphernalia.
Tuesday, Nov. 11
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in Kamas after receiving reports of domestic violence in front of a child and arrested a male. A woman left her vehicle unlocked while she went a retail store in the Kimball Junction area. She discovered an iPod nano was missing and an unknown male was caught on camera near her vehicle. A gas station in Henefer reported a belligerent man who had locked himself in the bathroom. Deputies were able to help the man leave with his case worker.
Wednesday, Nov. 12
A man was arrested for trespassing at a restaurant in Kamas. .
After dispatch received reports of an intoxicated man, deputies located the man in South Salt Lake. He was released by medical and transported to a local motel.
Friday, Nov. 14
A student in South Summit reported fraudulent charges on his debit card. His roommate confessed to stealing it and was arrested.
Deputies were dispatched to Kimball Junction due to reports of an assault. Two males were arrested and one had had an active warrant in Salt Lake City.
Saturday, Nov. 15
A woman called dispatch to reporter her teen daughter as a runaway. The woman reportedly last saw her daughter on Friday and the teen has since been located.
Sunday, Nov. 16 Deputies were dispatched to home in the South Snyderville Basin when a man would not leave a residence. The man was arrested for an outstanding warrant in Wasatch County.
Two juveniles were sledding in Jeremy Ranch when a male started to yell at them and followed them home. He was described as wearing a black shirt, black pants and a black ski hat.
Monday, Nov. 17 A man was stopped for speeding on Kilby Road and admitted to having an illegal substance, spice, and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested for possession.
