Town home community at Newpark completed
The final residential development in the 37-acre Newpark Town Center at Kimball Junction is now complete. Hamlet Homes held the opening of the first model home in Nevis at Newpark last week.
Nevis at Newpark is located adjacent to the Cottonwood Partners office building near the Newpark Hotel.
According to Mike Brodsky, the president of Hamlet Homes, the community consists of 23 energy-efficient town homes that he says will make a "great addition to the Newpark area."
"It’s fantastic and the consumer response to it has been magnificent," Brodsky said of the completion of the development.
The town homes start at $420,000 and are between approximately 1,250 and 1,300 square feet. Every home is green-built with solar panels, Brodsky said.
"The community is very unique because of the many of the features associated with it,’ he said.
Brodsky said nearly half of the town homes have already been sold and he expects the community to be sold out within a few months.
According to Summit County Planner Amir Caus, the Newpark Development Agreement was approved in October 2001. It was amended in December 2002, with 29,041 square feet of residential density being allocated for the Nevis at Newpark Project.
Construction on the project began in the fall of 2014.
