The biggies on Main Street
Park City Engineer Eric DeHaan compiled a list of the major construction projects slated for the Main Street area this year.
Some of the highlights, not including the Sky Lodge at the Main Street-Heber Avenue intersection, are:
( The remodel of the Claimjumper building, which DeHaan says may use Park Avenue as a staging zone.
( The construction of a building at 260 Main St. and another one at 205 Main St.
( A "major remodel" of a building at 436 Main St.
( The construction of a building at 460 Swede Alley, which City Hall wants to put up, next to the China Bridge parking garage.
( Completing houses at 230 Swede Alley and 240 Swede Alley.
( Completing houses near the Heber Avenue-Park Avenue intersection.

The two-vote margin between the sixth- and seventh-place finishers in the Park City Council primary election is so narrow after the initial counting that there is a possibility the final tally would fall within the range that a recount could be requested. The possibility of a recount will not be known until an Aug. 27 canvass.
