The Friends of the Utah Avalanche Center is a private, nonprofit, fund-raising organization for the Forest Service Utah Avalanche Center. All of the money donated goes directly towards avalanche forecasting and avalanche education in Utah. |

- Funding for salaries for avalanche forecasters to allow for more accurate avalanche advisories and for additional
- Funding for avalanche education to make backcountry travelers more aware of dangers
Funding for outreach to people who are unaware of avalanche hazards - Donations to help purchase equipment like automated weather stations and computers and to hire technical specialists such as Web designers, and computer technicians

- If you see or trigger an avalanche, be sure to notify the Utah Avalanche Center by calling 1-800-662-4140 or send e-mail.
- Donate specialty equipment such as computers or snowmobiles.
- If you have any specialty skills such as Web site design and maintenance, computer programming and fund-raising skills.
