The mining cage has left the building

ANNA BLOOM, Of the Record staff

Workers move the mining elevator, called a cage, on Monday, Feb. 11 from the Park City Museum on Main Street. The cage, which carried miners and ore in Park City’s mines, has been on display at the museum since 1987. During renovation, however, the cage will be stored in Salt Lake City. Throughout 2008, the Park City Historical Society and Museum can be found on the second floor of the Main Street Mall, located at 333 Main St. Historical ski tours and most activities will continue as scheduled.
