Warren Miller film to show at Eccles
Warren Miller’s "Playground," billed as "the world’s largest action sports film" will screen at Park City’s George S. and Elores Dore Eccles Center twice on Friday. The first screening will be at 6:30 p.m.; the second will be at 9:30 p.m.
The action crosses the globe, featuring the snow-covered playgrounds of Canada, Alaska, Japan, The Arabian Desert and in the United States. Utah athletes and Utah’s winter resorts are highlighted more than once.
The Eccles Center is located at 1750 Kearns Boulevard. To purchase tickets, visit http://www.ecclescenter.org or call (435) 655-3114. Tickets are also available at REI, Sportsman. Groups of 12 or more will receive $1 off each ticket, plus Warren Miller DVDs and swag by calling (800) 523-7117.
Park City Moms Halloween Party
Halloween at the Shop
Bring the little ghouls (and boys!) to Park City Moms’ annual Halloween Party (Need not be a member to attend) this Friday, Oct. 26 from 3:30 to7 p.m. at THE SHOP Yoga Studio. The studio is located at 1167 Woodisde Avenue, next to the Park City Library. The event will include games, crafts and spooky effects. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org . Bill White, Olympians support Wintersports Alliance
Hosted by Deer Valley Resort and Bill White Enterprises at the Silver Lake Lodge, Jans’ black-tie Winter Welcome will celebrate 27 years beginning tonight at 6 p.m. Reservations are required. Individual tickets are $250. Packages of eight with recognition, and reserved seating for dessert and live auction range from $2,500 to $3,500. All funds raised will benefit the Park City Youth Wintersports Alliance.
6 p.m. – Red carpet welcome and Champagne reception.
6:30 p.m. – Balanced Pairings of fine wines and cuisine throughout Silver Lake Lodge.
8:15 p.m. – Silent auction closes by section

Join the puppy platoon in costume
Howl-O-Ween on Main will be held Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 3 to 6 p.m. in Old Town. Trick-or-treaters are invited to Main Street complements of hundreds of participating merchants between 3 and 5 p.m. between 4th and 5th Street. The Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade will begin at the post office at 5 p.m. following a photo shoot beginning at 4:30 p.m., and proceed down Main Street to The Shops at the Village on Main. Photos taken during the parade at the post office will be posted at http://www.parkcitymainstreet.or/dogparade .
