The X-C track, brought to you by White Pine
September 29, 2009
Jans Mountain Outfitters-owned White Pine Touring recently won a deal with City Hall to manage the cross-country skiing outfit at the Park City Golf Course, extending White Pine’s longtime involvement in the course.
The contract is for five years with the possibility of a five-year extension after the initial term. White Pine was the only firm that submitted a bid.
Under the terms of the deal, White Pine would pay $2,500 in rent for the 2009-2010 season, with the rent increasing annually based on the consumer price index. Park City also will be paid 6 percent of the gross track sales each month.
Meanwhile, White Pine will take over grooming duties from City Hall as part of the deal. City staffers, though, will map out the track.
