There’s free parking on Main Street, holiday shoppers
City Hall is again offering free parking on Main Street for four weeks during the holidays.
Parking usually costs $1.50 per hour. The three-hour time limits remain intact.
The free parking lasts until Dec. 21, giving people an incentive to visit Main Street for their holiday shopping. It is the third year parking has been free for the holiday season.
Alison Butz, the executive director of the Historic Park City Alliance, said the free parking encourages people to visit Main Street who might otherwise shop and dine elsewhere. It also thanks Main Street’s loyal customers, she said.
Park City workers have wrapped the parking meters in plastic explaining the free-parking promotion.
The Christian Center of Park City had a makeover last year, and its boutique felt it was time for one, too.
