Construction crews at Park City Mountain Resort are clearing the route for a lift they will install that will take skiers and snowboarders between the base area and Crescent Ridge, a part of the resort once known as Ski Team Ridge.

The lift, which will be called Crescent, is expected to open for the 2008-2009 season. It replaces the Ski Team lift, and it will have a different alignment. The resort says skiers and snowboarders disembarking the four-passenger, high-speed Crescent will have access to seven lifts, including the popular Silverlode and Bonanza lifts.

According to the resort, the ride on Crescent will be shorter than Ski Team’s, and it will be twice as long as the older lift.

The work, which is on the front face of PCMR, is visible from numerous vantages.
