Transient might be living on a hillside in Prospector
July 20, 2011
The Park City Police Department last week received a report that there could be people living on a hillside in Prospector.
The report was filed at 10:13 a.m. on Friday, July 15. The police were told two men might be staying at the location. The person who contacted the police indicated the people were seen drinking and setting fire, according to public police logs.
The next day, meanwhile, at 8:26 a.m. a police officer on a bicycle patrol investigated a transient camp in the vicinity of the Rail Trail and Prospector Avenue. Public police logs did not provide details about what the officer found.
The police occasionally receive complaints about transients living in the hills that ring Park City. Transient cases oftentimes fall under the rules against camping.
