Treasure hearing scheduled
February 9, 2010
The Park City Planning Commission on Wednesday is scheduled to continue its long-running talks about the Sweeney family’s idea to build Treasure.
The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. in the Park City Council chambers at the Marsac Building. A public hearing is scheduled.
The Sweeneys intend to unveil a detailed model of Treasure during the meeting. It is expected that the Planning Commission will spend much of its time discussing the size of the proposed Treasure buildings, a key point of contention.
The Sweeneys are seeking an approval for 200 hotel rooms and 100 condominiums on a hillside overlooking Old Town. The land is situated just off streets like Lowell Avenue and Empire Avenue. Commercial space and a convention center are also under consideration within Treasure.
