Voyeur arrested

Jimmy Ngo, a Park City area business owner, was arrested this week for allegedly planting a digital camera in a common area women’s restroom in an office building at Jeremy Ranch.

Owner of ACS in Snow Creek Plaza, Ngo is accused of installing the small camera about one inch square by clipping it to a ceiling tile.

There were also images of two other restrooms from different angles stored on the camera.

An employee of the building found the camera on May 10. According to Det. Ron Bridge of the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, detectives are working to identify nine victims to confirm they were not participants in the crime, notify them they were victimized, and request their help in building the case.

Bridge is encouraging other clients of ACS to check their facilities for cameras and seek advice from the Sheriff’s Office. Detectives would like to identify the two other restrooms.

Ngo, 41, is a Salt Lake City resident and was booked under charges of voyeurism and disorderly conduct.

The camera is available at any electronics retail business and stored one hour of footage before running out of battery.

"People need to be cognizant of their surroundings, especially in public restrooms," Bridge said. "Observe high ceilings and under the stalls."

A yoga studio was identified in the Sheriff’s Office press release, but it shares the restroom with five other businesses.
