Appreciation for school employees

Editor:

I am writing to tell you about our custodians. They’re always helping us. They clean the lunchroom every day. I think they get tired of doing that everyday. They help us, too, with our lockers. When they get jammed, the custodians open them for us. Students put too much stuff in the lockers. When it snows, Mr. Jeff cleans the snow, so that when everyone comes they don’t see any snow.

And Nate, our recess supervisor and hall supervisor, is always helping the custodians, too. Our school, Ecker Hill, has very nice custodians. Their names are Jeff, Teri, Wayne, Benito, Larry and Nate. Without them our school would be very awful.

Areli Nava, seventh grade

Editor:

I am writing to you about our office ladies. They are Jen, Mary, Lynda, and Jennifer. They help do a lot of stuff here, like if you lose your locker combo or your lunch number, they know it. They have to organize some papers in ABC order for like 680 kids. Every day they have to organize some papers because of the mail or kids bring them. They do reports and make sure everybody is in school.

David Pantaleon

Editor,

I’m writing about the custodian Teri at my school. Every day she’s keeping everything clean. If your locker is jammed or something, opens it. Whenever you need her, she comes and helps out. After lunch she cleans all of the lunchroom. She does really hard work. I hope you have a happy holiday.

I am writing to tell you about our great lunch ladies. Their names are Deb, Sonja, Trudy, Connie, Brenda and Lori. I always joke with them and they joke back with me. All of the lunch ladies know my name and I don’t even know all of their names. All the days they make breakfast and lunch at our school. I think that’s hard to make lunch every day for almost 681 kids. They also do the vending machines. They take care of the Vending Machines like refills for candy and drinks. It’s hard work. I just wanted everyone in Park City to know about our great lunch ladies. I hope everyone has a happy holiday vacation!

I am writing to tell you about our school custodians. Their names are Teri, Benito, Larry, Jeff and Wayne. Every day they have to clean and throw out trash from our school. They also help us clean the bathroom. They are good guys. Benito is a really nice guy to me. Sometimes we start talking in P.E. class. We are really lucky to have all of the custodians. Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Victor Chavez, sixth grade

Editor:

I am writing to tell you about all of the teachers at my school. They work and they teach all day from 7 a.m. to 5 or 7 p.m. They have to check papers and they read. Some teachers are funny. They like to tell jokes. I hope my teachers have a good happy holiday.

Victor Gervacio, seventh grade

Editor:

I am writing to tell you about one of my teachers. Her name is Ms. Thomas. I don’t know if she has fun with her job. She usually has to watch kids who get in trouble. Her job is called ISS. She also helps us in the lunchroom. I think she is really nice. I just wanted the Park

City newspaper to know all this.

Sincerely,

I am writing to you to tell you about our lunch ladies at Ecker Hill. They are all really nice to us. They are always cooking. I think it is a hard job. I’m really thankful to all of them. They are Deb, Sonja, Trudy, Connie, Brenda and Lori. I really appreciate everything that they do. Another person that I want to thank is Benito. He is always helping clean the halls and the outside of the pool. Thanks a lot.

I am writing this letter to tell you about our custodians. The custodians, Jeff, Teri, Wayne, Larry and Benito clean the school every day. They help the students to open their lockers when they get jammed. They clean the tables and work every day. They vacuum the floors too. I hope they have a Happy New Year and a Merry Christmas.

Sincerely,

Gustavo Vazques, sixth grader

Editor:

I am writing to you to tell you about our bus driver. Her name is Mary and she is really, really nice. She gives us candy on holidays and she lets us sit wherever we want. She is a good driver.

Alejandra Orozco, seventh grade

Editor:

I am writing this about Ms. Thomas. She is nice and she tries to make the school better. I have only been to her once. She handles trouble because she is the ISS teacher. She is not mean. Teachers try to be nice to the kids, but some kids talk too much and when the teacher is talking. Teachers try their hardest, but sometimes they get sick. I like it when the teacher is there and sometimes I don’t like it when they are gone. I hope you have a great holiday including vacation.

Sincerely,

Elida Sanchez

Editor:

I’m writing a letter to you about the lunch ladies that work at my school. Their names are Deb, Sonja, Trudy, Connie and Brenda. Every day they make us happy by making us breakfast and lunch. When someone is feeling bad, there is always someone there to cheer you up. That’s why I am glad to have them here at Ecker Hill. I hope they have a great holiday.

Edwan Rea

Editor,

I want to tell you about my bus driver, Mary Otterman. She is the best bus driver in the world. She always gets us in time and gets us safe to school and at home. She is nice to us. She always lets us sit anywhere we want if we tell her. Mary is the best bus driver. Every kid in my bus likes her. She sometimes gives us candy. She puts decorations on the bus and she named her turkey I don’t remember what, but she did. I hope Mary Otterman has a good holiday and I wish her a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Sincerely,

I’m writing about our school office ladies. Their names are Jen, Mary, Lynda and Jennifer. They do a lot to help our school. They keep it organized and clean to make sure everything is not messy and out of order. They also help

in meetings. They answer the phone and make sure everybody is getting home safely.

Sincerely,

Montse Heredia, sixth grader

Editor:

I want to tell you about our lunch ladies. They are very nice and helpful. What I mean by helpful is that when you get something stuck in the vending machine, they get it out. They also give us healthy food. They don’t want us to eat junky food. They care so much for us. I think the lunch ladies are great!

Sincerely,

Nancy Armendariz, sixth grade

Editor:

I’m writing about my bus driver even though I can’t remember her name. She’s still a great bus driver and she drives carefully. She lets us eat in the bus and she’s awesome. I hope she has a nice holiday vacation.

Sincerely,

Hi. I want to tell you about our office ladies. Their names are Jen, Mary, Lynda and Jennifer. They are really good people. The do lots of stuff for us. One time I was late for school and had no excuse, but Mary helped and excused me. They also let us use the phone in the office if we forgot to tell our parents something.

Your friend,

Editor:

I’m writing to tell you about our bus driver, Mary. She is very great. She always drives us to school. She always decorates her bus. Sometimes she gives us treats, but if we are behaving bad, she gives us a warning. We are very lucky that Mary is our bus driver. Mary is always kind to all the kids that are on the bus. Sometimes she gives referrals if we don’t behave good.

If we ask her to move our seats, she lets us. I’m just writing you this to tell how great she is.

Adilene Orozco Rendon, sixth grade

Editor:

I want to tell about my bus driver named Mary. She is so good at driving. She never crashes. She decorates her bus all the time. She is the best. Mary takes us to school and back to our houses.

Your friend,

Alejandro Vieyra, sixth grader

Editor:

I am writing to tell you about our bus driver, Mary. She is the best bus driver I ever had. She makes me laugh. She also is nice. She lets us sit whereever we want on Fridays. That’s why I like my bus driver. I hope she has a nice vacation.

Sincerely,

Julio Pedraza, sixth grader

Editor:

I am writing to tell you about my bus driver. His name is Scott. He gets us to school safely. Sometimes when people don’t stop he honks at them. When it snows a lot he tries not to take us late to school. We are really lucky to have Scott. I just wanted everybody to know that we have great bus drivers! I hope they have a happy holiday vacation.

Sincerely,

Asuscena Ledesma, sixth grade
