A personal thanks

On this beautiful late summer day, I wanted to take a moment to thank the many Parkites who voted for me in the primary. I view that support as a sacred privilege, and I take comfort in the fact that those votes represent a true desire for new ideas, for planning, and for a way forward.

Through my lifetime in a small beach town to the streets of New York to the Wasatch mountains, I have learned not to bet against the will, spirit or ingenuity of people. We are resilient and generally oriented towards finding a way forward no matter how difficult that path may be to navigate. Our brightest days are often preceded by our darkest nights. I choose not to let our challenges and issues be the solution, or in letting them define us. We must not let traffic, property taxes and other pressing issues hinder our quest for better outcomes.

I believe we have the talent and intellect to create a better tomorrow for all Parkites. this is what this election is about. It represents unity and a can do attitude that I choose to represent.

While others say no we can’t, I like to think yes we can. Some talk in platitudes and cliches; I want to talk about ideas and strategy, and put that to use for the betterment of all Parkites.

Park City is not somewhere that can’t. It is somewhere that can. Together, we can do better.

Thank you all again and I look forward to broadening that support and cultivating more of that can-do spirit as the general election approaches in November.
