Letters, Jan. 21-24: A bag in time so kind

There we were, two skate skiers on the Willow Creek Loop caught unprepared when our dog decided to go number two for the second time. Of course the poop bag dispensers were excruciatingly far (and uphill) away from the scene of the crime. In desperation I urged my wife to ask the couple behind us with the two bloodhounds if they could spare a square. Instead this remarkable couple not only lent us a bag, but offered to carry the evidence to the appropriate place for disposal so that we could continue huffing and puffing up the (OK, very slight) hill. There are remarkably kind people in our community. Thanks for the helping hand.
