Thanks for a great Daddy-Daughter Dance

Last Friday, it was as if someone waived a wand and — poof! — McPolin’s cafeteria transformed into a dazzling ball. Thanks to the generous Park City community, our elementary school’s annual Daddy-Daughter Dance has become more than a tradition; it’s the kind of event that sticks with our students and their dads/uncles/grandpas/big brothers for years. And this particular event rocked. No lollygagging over the punch bowl. The girls of McPolin and their dads danced — all night!

So, we thank the fairy godmothers and godfathers of the Daddy-Daughter Dance wholeheartedly. Three cheers go to the man with the mic all night: DJ Jeff Harris of Live Guy Sound, who absolutely nailed it with tunes and games. The scrumptious eats and drinks — kindly donated by Alberto’s, Fresh Market, Smith’s and Subway — thoroughly refreshed our pint-sized dancegoers and their grown-up sidekicks. Our cafeteria gained a lovely touch of elegance with the help of gorgeous Silver Cricket floral arrangements; linens from the Canyons Market Grill and The Chateaux Deer Valley; the wizardry of our volunteer decorating committee; and the above-and-beyond help from the McPolin staff — particularly the amazing Meschelle Montoya. And Kendal Rey Photography captured it all, especially the enormous grins.

Thank you for making the Daddy-Daughter Dance a magical night,

The McPolin Daddy-Daughter Dance Committee
