Park City Seniors not supporting any single candidate

The Park City Seniors would like to thank every one of the City Council candidates who made time in their busy campaign schedules to spend an afternoon with us. You were all great.

The Board of the Park City Seniors had decided to not support one particular candidate over the other, but rather to have each candidate come to meet, listen to, get to know the issues regarding Senior Citizens in Park City, and then to grill them with their thoughtful but often tough questions after lunch.

Our Park City seniors are a savvy lot. Sometimes we even have up to four past City Council members in our audience. That’s the reason we opted to not support one candidate over the other — to let the seniors hear the various campaign speeches and make up their own minds as to who would best represent us on the City Council.

You may have received or read a letter where the seniors are seemingly supporting one candidate over the others. This came from one of our members, and they have every right to express their opinions, but please know this was one member’s endorsement, and not the endorsement of the Board of Directors of Park City Seniors.

Make sure to get those ballots turned in, if you have yet to do so, and good luck to all the candidates. You all made fine presentations to our seniors, and I hope you will continue to listen to us, and support our causes once you are elected.
