Scott Iwasaki

Scott Iwasaki is an award-winning reporter with 26 years of experience of writing about musicians, authors, visual artists, dancers, fundraisers and special events. He earned a B.A. in communication from the University of Utah in 1993 and started his career as a crime reporter for the Deseret News in Salt Lake City. In 1996, Scott became the paper’s music and dance editor, where he covered and supervised coverage of the performing arts. A recipient of writing merit awards, including recognition from the Deseret News, the Society of Professional Journalists, Utah Press Association and Utah/Idaho/Spokane Press Association. Scott started writing for the Park Record in 2010.
